California Physical Therapy Continuing Education Requirements
California PT's and PTA's need 30 hours
Due every 2 years on the last day of licensee's month of birth
26 hours are allowed to be completed by home-study. The Life Support Course needs to include a hands-on skill demonstration with a certified instructor in order to be compliant.
2 hours of ethics
4 hours of basic life support (such training should be comparable to, or more advanced than the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support Health Care provider course work)
