  • Describe the indications and basic of procedure of the five most common orthopedic surgeries for the upper extremities and common post-surgical precautions of each. 
  • List six benefits of massage in treatment following surgery of the upper extremities.  
  • Describe five types of commonly used massage techniques and their benefit following upper extremity surgeries.  
  • Describe massage techniques that can be used on specific regions of the body and their applicability to post-surgical treatment.
