Rehab professionals will gain an understanding of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and strategies to provide family centered care. Frameworks and models of care will provide a foundation of direct treatment interventions for the child and coaching families.   • Analyze intervention strategies to use with children who have ASD across various settings.
  • Differentiate specific evidence-based resources to create a treatment plan.
  • Analyze how children with ASD may have disrupted activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
  • Arrange an understanding of how to partner and work closely with families of children with ASD.
  • Relate how various members of the interdisciplinary team play a role in a child’s success.
  • Differentiate between behavioral challenges and sensory differences.
  • Outline how essential it is to learn about each child’s unique sensory profile.
