$88

Description:

Course Overview

As healthcare professionals, we frequently work with pediatric clients who may require prescription medications for a range of conditions. The children we treat might range from the high risk neonates to older children with cardiovascular disease, ADHD or epilepsy. Or they may have a range of other clinical conditions, which require medicatons such as antibiotics, corticosteroids or analgesics. As a result, we must be empowered with information regarding the effects of each child's medications, to include understanding the benefits versus the risks of common drug classes.

This course will focus on some of the more common pediatric medications, to equip the healthcare professional with an understanding of the actions and effects of such drugs. Evidence-based practice will be shared to include the risks of adverse drug events as well as the drugs' methods of action to achieve the desired clinical outcomes.
