UPDATE: The Gaitapalooza has been rescheduled for October 30th, 2011.
Last October we told you about ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship. We are proud to be continuing our support for their awesome program this year by sponsoring twins, Jack, and Luke at their 2nd annual Gaitapalooza, which takes place June 4th!
For those who haven't yet heard of ManeGait, they are nonprofit Therapeutic Horsemanship center here in Texas that provides therapeutic riding lessons to people with physical, cognitive, sensory, and learning disabilities. ManeGait's mission is to help children and adults with disabilities move beyond their boundaries through the healing power of the horse and the dedication of the community.
The 2nd annual Gaitapalooza is an opportunity for ManeGait's riders to move beyond the traditional training arena to the open range of a trail ride.
ManeGait relies on the help of volunteers and donations to continue to provide this excellent service to the community. Did you know the average cost to care for one of the very special therapy horses is $2,500? Many of ManeGait's riders rely on financial assistance to participate in the program, which is why we are taking the time out today from our routine blog to ask you to help us support Jack and Luke in the Gaitapalooza to help raise funds for ManeGait.
The deadline to donate is June 4th so please join us in supporting Jack and Luke by donating through the very simple donation form found on each of their fundraising pages.
