This course aims to bridge that gap by examining the unique characteristics, diagnostic challenges, and personalized treatment approaches for women with ADHD.

Upon completing this course, the learner should be able to:

  • Evaluate the clinical guidelines for diagnosing ADHD in adults.  
  • Distinguish the unique symptoms and presentation of ADHD in women.   
  • Distinguish cognitive overload from ADHD in women. 
  • Analyze the impact of hormonal fluctuations on ADHD symptoms and management.   
  • Apply effective screening and diagnostic tools specific to women.   
  • Distinguish the common comorbidities and co-occurring conditions in women with ADHD.
  • Analyze the educational, occupational, and social challenges faced by women with ADHD. 
  • Evaluate individualized treatment plans that incorporate pharmacological, psychotherapeutic, and lifestyle interventions.
