Learning Outcomes:

After completing this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Predict how a clinical practice guideline can be utilized to improve patient/client outcomes and occupational performance.   
  • Classify low back pain using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) model.
  • Review the four intervention strategies to clients with low back pain as described in the CPGs: Exercise, Manual, Classification Systems, and Education.  
  • Relate each of the four intervention strategies through case studies of clients with low back pain.
