Lying Posture Care Management includes assessment and intervention in a lying position and is primarily used during sleep. Sleep positioning can be used to improve the quality and duration of sleep, promote health and maintain safety during sleep, as well as minimize, prevent, and even reverse orthopedic changes. This course will include sleep positioning terminology, need, goals, interventions, and current research. Case studies will be used throughout. This course is designed primarily for occupational and physical therapists who work with people who require complex rehab technologies to meet their positioning needs throughout a 24-hour time period.
