This course is intended to instruct the professional on addressing behavioral issues in patients with dementia, decreasing the use of antipsychotic drugs.

Professional Objectives:

  1. Identify impact of antipsychotics with dementia on quality of life
  2. List interventions that can be implemented by therapists to assist in reducedantipsychotic use for patients with dementia
  3. Recognize the effect of environmental modifications and effective caregivereducation for patient QOL and improved behavior.
