Chronic pain has been difficult to diagnose and treat for health care professionals. Professional Objectives:

  1. Identify skin layers and fascial layers
  2. Recognize relationship of fascia and the pain process of scars of adhesions
  3. Identify why scars can be painful
  4. Identify the role of the lymphatic system in scarring
  5. Recognize the dynamic of surgery, scars and pain
  6. Identify how nerves and pain receptors play a role in pain
  7. Recognize diagnosis of pain DX codes from physicians
