This course is intended to instruct the professional on assessing environmental and behavioral modifications to increase safe PO intake in patients with dementia.

Professional Objectives:

  1. Identify 3 modifications to improve environmental factors for patients with dysphagia and dementia.
  2. Recognize effects of diet modification on patients with dysphagia and dementia.
  3. Identify effective caregiver education strategies for working with families of patients with dysphagia and dementia.
