Upon the completion of this course, the learner will be able to: 

  • List the muscles that comprise the core 
  • Recognize how the core musculature works to maintain postural stability and optimal core function during activities of daily living 
  • Identify methods to assess core function and identify muscle imbalances 
  • Recognize exercise routines and progressions designed to improve core function and muscle performance in order to enhance performance in everyday activities 
  • Identify special populations to consider with core functional training
