  • Describe the epidemiological trends for lung cancer in the United States.
  • Identify risk factors associated with lung cancer development.
  • Describe the development and clinical manifestations and components of diagnostic evaluation for lung cancer. 
  • Discuss the current treatment options for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and management strategies to alleviate the common symptoms of lung cancer.
  • Identify measures to provide psychosocial support to the patient and family and promote lung cancer prevention.
