Participant will be able to understand not only BPPV, but also the identify the neurological inputs that lead to  sensory integration of the balance system, identify deficits and provide accurate, specific treatment to resolve/ reduce a patient’s complaint of vertigo.

Professional Objectives:

  1. Identify neurological structures of the vision and vestibular system
  2. Recognize how the vestibular, vision and somatosensory systems interact and the influence of one upon another to the balance system 
  3. Identify difference between a Peripheral vs Central Vestibular System Disorder 
  4. Identify common balance disorders
  5. Identify when and how a clinican can intervene via treatment or compensatory strategies
