Professional Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. Recognize major terms of biomechanics
  2. Identify several factors known to substantially increase risk of back injury
  3. Identify the agonist, antagonist and synergists involved in common back movements.
  4. Select common back injuries and conditions
  5. Recognize impact and effects on athletic and daily activities.
  6. Identify popular assessment protocols used by therapists and trainers
  7. Identify exercises and techniques in the contemporary approach to promoting back health.
