Gail Stocks, founder and principal of EZ Way To Stay in Montclair, NJ, is an occupational therapist and accessibility specialist. She has a Master's degree from NYU and more than 30 years of experience working with clients across the spectrum of ages and abilities. Gail has been designated a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and is an approved instructor by NAHB for their CAPS and Universal Design Essentials Courses. She received her Executive Certificate in Home Modification administered by the National Resource Center on Supportive Housing and Home Modification from the University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and the National Resource Center on Supportive Housing and Home Modification. She is committed to ensuring every client has practical solutions that promote maximum independence, safety, comfort and peace of mind. Gail is a proud member of the American Occupational Therapy Association with a designation in Home Modifications, the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy with a designation in pediatrics, and the Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance. She is a volunteer for Rebuilding Together where she is working to implement an Aging in Place initiative and is a member of NJ AARP Speakers Bureau. Gail has been published in the June 2019 issue of Occupational Therapy Practice Magazine. She has shared her expertise at speaking engagements throughout her community on the conversion or adaptation of environments to make task performance easier, reduce accidents, and support independent living.
