Overuse injuries in younger athletes are becoming more prevalent. Clinicians and physicians should recognize physical exam findings and adaptive changes to the throwing elbow. Different surgical treatments and rehabilitation protocols were discussed to best ensure optimal healing. As research on UCL treatments and elbow mechanisms continues to grow clinicians will have more treatment options to utilize in the sports medicine setting.
