This course is intended to instruct the professional on basic knowledge of the latest research on fascia, scar and adhesion formation and critical thinking skills to apply in their practice.

Professional Objectives:

  1. Identify the skin layers and fascial layers
  2. Recognize relationship of fascia and the process of scars of adhesions
  3. Identify types of scars
  4. Identify the role of the lymphatic system in scarring
  5. Identify the role of wound healing
  6. Recognize dynamic of surgery and scar formation
  7. Identify how nerves and pain receptors play a role in pain
  8. Recognize current research on scars
  9. Recognize quality of life issues from the scar clients perspective
