The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) was founded to establish a certification program and uphold a national standard of excellence for Massage Therapists. With this announcement, there are nearly 90,000 nationally certified massage therapists and bodyworkers, who have a new option to meet their continuing education requirements. NCBTMB Continuing Education Requirements
The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) requires certificates to complete 48 continuing education hours during each four-year certification cycle. Six of those hours must be Ethics, with two of the six hours on Standard V of NCBTMBs Standards of Practice (roles and boundaries of the therapist, as defined here). All coursework must be taken from an NCBTMB Approved Provider or from a non-approved provider meeting all NCBTMB guidelines. Great news, HomeCEUConnection.com is now an NCBTMB approved provider.
