Alabama OTs & OTAs Continuing Education Requirement

While you Alabama OTs (Occupational Therapists) and OTAs (Occupational Therapist Assistants) may still be celebrating the Alabama BCS National Championship, it is time get off the crimson tide and start thinking about your upcoming license renewal! If your license was issued in the first six months of the year, you may need to have all your CEUs completed before the April 30, 2012 deadline. Alabama OTs are required to have 30 contact hours (3 CEUS) and OTAs need 20 contact hours (2 CEUs). If this is your first certification, both Alabama OTs and OTAs only need 15 hours. Do not get flagged on the field by forgetting that your renewal envelope must be postmarked at least 60 days before the renewal! This means that although your CEUs are not technically due until April 30th, you should aim to have them completed no later than February 29th for timely processing.

You too can be a champion with HomeCEU by getting your continuing education through one of our many approved online or home study courses such as Keeping Your COG Over BOS or Achieving Optimum Therapeutic Exercise Outcomes!
