Full Course Description

Course Description:

Malnutrition and dehydration are common problems in the geriatric population. Dementia, which is accompanied by cognitive and attention deficits, places geriatric patients at an even higher risk for dysphagia. In addition, these patients often suffer from weight loss, aspiration and a decreased quality of life.

This course provides information on how to assess and treat dysphagia in patients with dementia.
