Shannon Simmons MPH, CIC, CHES, CPH, MLS(ASCP) CM

Shannon Simmons is an infection preventionist certified in public heath and certified in infection control. Shannon received her master's degree from the University of North Texas Health Science with a concentration in community health.

Shannon has several years of experience as a clinical microbiologist and is a certified medical laboratory scientist. Although Shannon no longer practices in the lab she maintains microbiology related knowledge as an adjunct professor of microbiology for allied health professionals. Shannon is an active member of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control, the Texas Society of Infection Control & Prevention, and the American Society for Microbiology.
