Sandi Wagner, RN, BSN, BAAS is the Telemedicine and Stroke Coordinator with CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center (GSMC) - Marshall, located in Marshall, Texas. Sandi has worked at CHRISTUS GSMC - Marshall for over 14 years in various roles including: Critical Care, Management, and as a Program Manager.
Sandi has been a registered nurse for over 16 years and began her career after earning an Associate of Science in Nursing from Southwestern Adventist University in 2001. In 2011, she obtained a Bachelor’s of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree from The University of North Texas. In 2016, Sandi received a Master Certificate in Business Management and in May of 2017, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from The University of Texas Arlington. Presently, Sandi is continuing her education by pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration.
Driven by a great passion and belief that every patient deserves the best care possible, regardless of location, Sandi is committed to the development and growth of Telemedicine. She took the lead in developing and implementing, in under a year’s time, a multi-specialty Telemedicine program at CHRISTUS GSMC - Marshall, which is a 149 bed rural hospital. Sandi is presently the coordinator of the team which provides all specialties of Telemedicine including Nephrology, Cardiology, Neurology, and Psychiatry.
Sandi has helped lead her team to be the first in Texas to obtain the Joint Commission Acute Stroke Ready Certification. Additionally, under Sandi’s leadership, the team has participated in an Institutional Review Board research study of stroke door-to-needle times. Sandi’s unique background in Healthcare bespeaks her focus on the delivery of quality care and improved outcomes to all we serve.
