Melanie Upright, MS, CCC-SLP
Melanie Upright, a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, received her master’s degree from Towson University in Maryland. Melanie has worked for the Charles County Public Schools as an SLP, serving all levels at different times in her professional, from Infants & Toddlers to High School, and including students with emotional and behavior difficulties. Melanie expanded her expertise in the school system becoming an IEP Facilitator in 2004 and took her knowledge of inclusion and access to the general education curriculum to support teachers, administrators and students as an Inclusion Resource for Special Education for the Central Office of CCPS in 2009.
During this time, Melanie started Dynamic Therapies, a private practice focusing on speech and language services for 3 - 5 year olds, and reading intervention for late elementary and middle school age students. In addition, Melanie taught, as an adjunct instructor, multiple courses in the teacher education program at the College of Southern Maryland in LaPlata, MD and has presented for local organizations and at the Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Annual Conference.
