Beverley Smith, COTA/L

Beverley Driver Smith has been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for 22 years. She graduated from Palm Beach State College in 1992 on the Dean’s List and as the founder and President of the South East Occupational Therapy Club, “SEE OT”. She currently works in a rural school setting in the Occupational Therapy Department, where she is starting her seventh year. She teaches 3rd graders at her church every Saturday night and is a champion for children and anyone with disabilities.

Right out of college, Beverley became an adjunct teacher at her alma mater and taught Therapeutic Media for Occupational Therapy, Pediatrics for the Occupational Therapy Assistant and guest lectured on Traumatic Brain Injury for the Human Disease Occupational Therapy class. She has worked in a variety of settings throughout her career. She has worked the majority of her years in a Pediatric setting, and has also worked in the hospital, community re-entry, rehabilitative, out-patient sports and geriatric settings. Beverley has spoken for the local non-profit agency, CASTLE, on domestic violence and preventing child abuse. She volunteers annually at a disabled sports camp and international wheelchair tennis tournament in Mexico. She occasionally writes for a blog called “Rolling Without Limits”.
