  • Positioning and Mobility investigation & interventions
  • Coding Pressure Injury with the ICD-10 system. Online manuals
  • Choosing Treatment Diagnosis
  • The components of the Therapy evaluation Narrative
  • Treatment Documentation and Biophysical Agent billing
  • Education and Training of Patient, Staff, Caregivers
  • Therapists contribute to the team with Biophysical Agents, Sharps Debridement, and unique knowledge of range of motion, strengthening, mobility, gait, offloading, and return to function

  2. Define up-to-date terminology to stage a Pressure Injury
  3. Identify the components of a wound assessment
  4. Recognize intrinsic and extrinsic factors that contribute to pressure injuries
  5. Recognize measurable goals
  6. Identify and select therapeutic interventions specific to patients with a pressure injury
  7. Recognize accurate and sufficient ICD-10 coding of a pressure injury
  8. Identify key components of therapy documentation
  9. Identify effective therapist involvement on a wound care team
