Troubleshooting Telehealth Issues: Overcome Challenges in Pediatric Telehealth Sessions- Thursday, December 5th, 2024 5:00pm-7:00pm ET

$59

Description:

As telehealth is becoming an increasingly used service delivery model in pediatric therapy, therapists are concerned they are lacking the tools necessary to address the plethora of unique challenges it brings to the forefront. There are so many “What if’s” in pediatric telehealth.  What if… the child does not participate or engage during the session?  If he/she has challenging behaviors? If there are significant physical limitations? If a facilitator needs to be trained?  The chronicity of telehealth issues is very real and can often be debilitating. Not only can this impact the efficacy of patient outcomes, but can also result in psychological symptoms such as stress and anxiety for many therapists. This course aims to offer solutions to these very universal barriers in pediatric telehealth by engaging clinicians in a case study format to educate and problem solve.  By using a platform of realistic and research-based pediatric cases, clinicians are implored to increase their knowledge base and apply the highlighted principles of behavior management, Occupation Based Coaching and Contextual Therapy across various pediatric telehealth issues and settings.
