I'm A Florida Occupational Therapist, Can I Do All My CEUs Online?

This is the question that we answer every day here at HomeCEU. The answer is a resounding "Yes!" and I'll explain why. So here's the rule as explained by the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy: "Providers Offering Online Interactive Courses (Not counted as home-study)- These are Board approved providers that offer online courses that are not required to be considered as home study hours because the courses are considered as interactive online courses. According to the Board CE Rules, Florida Administrative Code 64B11-5.001(3), Home study education does not include a web-based, satellite transmitted or online instruction program that allows or requires the licensee to interact or communicate back and forth with the instructor during the presentation of the program. These providers offer interactive courses which allow all CE requirements to be completed online if desired."

What does that mean for you? It means that you can complete all 26 of your required continuing education hours from the comfort and convenience of your home or office. Because you can email the authors and speakers of all our courses, the Florida OT Board considers them "interactive" and so exempt they are from the home study limit. We hold Florida Approved Provider status, so you also have the peace of mind knowing that you won't be in for a nasty surprise come license renewal time... That's great news every occupational therapist and occupational therapist assistant in Florida! The other great news is that we have a HUGE catalog of courses that will make it easy, convenient and inexpensive to finish up your requirements. With a few clicks of your mouse, you can select from a wide range of text and video courses that we can mail directly to you or that you can access instantly online. We even have you covered for your mandatory Florida Laws and Rules and Medical Errors Prevention courses. Don't delay another minute; head over to the course catalog, fill your cart and start on the road to renewal!
