Arizona Physical Therapy CE Requirements

If you're an Arizona Physical Therapist who uses the Mayan calendar I have good news for you: You won't need to get your 20 contact hours of continuing education this year! But if you're using the regular old calendar like the rest of us, you'll need to put your nose to the grindstone and get those 20 hours done by August 31st, 2012.

Continuing Education Requirements

The Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy (ASBPT) requires that at least 10 contact hours need to be from Category A, up to the entire 20 contact hour requirement. Courses from the extensive catalog have been approved by a number of state regulating bodies, which means they are accepted as Category A, yay! ASBPT also dictates that no more than 10 of the required hours can be from a combination of Category B and/or Category C activities, which include things like study groups, lecturing or teaching. A full description of activities can be found on the ASBPT website.
